won 4-3 |
Wolfpack |
- Summary
- We were down 1-3 in the third period. In a span of about 3 minutes, we scored three goals to take a 4-3 lead.
We managed to hold them off the rest of the game to become the first team to defeat the Wolfpack.
- Player of the Game
- Tim who got a surprise call to play goalie
- Quote of the Game
- YEAH! - as the buzzer sounded at the end of the game.

Hockeytowne |
- Summary
- We again jumped out to a quick lead. Tim filled in at goalie, and did a great job, even though he didn't face a
lot of shots. Just like last game, our scoring was spread around.
- Player of the Game
- Tim as a last minute insertion in goal
- Quote of the Game
- "I'm sick" - Matt, who showed up and sat on the bench, but didn't play.
"Wuss!" - Everyone else

Spitfires |
- Summary
- We definitely surprised this team (and ourselves, I think) in this game. The last time we played them, we
hung with them fairly well, but still lost. This time, we took a quick lead and didn't look back. I think everyone
on offense scored at least 1 goal.
- Player of the Game
- Tony for drawing penalties (two on one play)
- Quote of the Game
- "We'll keep Larry" - someone on the bench while Larry was scoring goal after goal.

Raiders |
- Summary
- As is usual for us in Ohio, the weather the past few days has been very humid. For the first time in my memory,
the rink has a lot of mositure on it. There were places where you could even see the dampness. Needless to say,
that made this game very interesting. Everyone was skating very slowly, and you could not chase the puck into
the corners or behind the net because there was no way to stop on the floor.
Our goal scoring was spread around, with all of the Offensive players
getting at least one goal.
- Player of the Game
- Anyone who fell less than 5 times
- Quote of the Game
- "This isn't hockey" - the Ref
"I haven't fallen yet" - Toad right before going down "Careful...slow down" - everyone

Wolfpack |
- Summary
- I wasn't at the game, but have been told that this team is a bunch of high school kids who were tired of
playing (beating) everyone in the youth league, so are now playing in the adult league. Maybe I miss the point
of having an adult league, but shouldn't there be some minimum age limit?

- Summary
- This session, there is only 1 adult league, which means that we will be playing against
some teams that are much better than we are. This is one of those teams. However, for the
first two periods, we were able to compete with them. They started the scoring early, with
a goal within the first two minutes of the game. We tied the game at 1 on Brian's first
(and probably last :-) ) goal of the season that went off the crossbar an into the net. At
one point in the game, we led 3-2 before they made it a 6-3 lead. We got one more midway
through the third period to make it a two goal game. They scored their last goal in the
final minute to give them the 7-4 victory. Although we lost, it was a good effort from the
Punchers. We passed well, and managed to hang in there with a team that probably has more
talent than we do.
- Player of the Game
- No one really stands out as carrying the team. It was a good all-around effort.
- Quote of the Game
- Got to break off the rust from the skates. - Don't remember who said it, but heard it a
few times.
