- This loss knocks us out of the playoffs. This game wasn't our best effort on the rink.
Matt and Dave scored the goals. Nobody on offense could get open to receive a pass. Tony
absent from the game. Steve took his spot and played defense. Another weak showing for us
in the playoffs. *see our lifetime won/loss playoff record in the stats section.

- Summary
- We got the 1st goal and took a 1-0 lead after the 1st period. Brian scored off a faceoff
in the 2nd period. Less then 30 seconds later they scored to make it a 2-1 game. Toad
switched to offense in the 3rd period. Toad and Brian turned into a scoring machine and we
pulled away to win 6-2.

- Toad for sparking the offense. Scott for playing a solid game on defense.

- Summary
- We scored the first goal and never looked back. Everyone on the team was getting goals.
I'm glad this is the last time we have to play this team. You always have to keep your
head up because they will try to knock you into the parking lot. Nothing like good time
recreational adult hockey.

- Tony who played a very solid game. Tony was knocked down several times before they final
called a penatly against them

- Summary
- All of their goals came from a player(ringer) who should be playing in a higher league.
During the regular season this same guy skated easy and passed the puck around. When the
playoffs start he goes into high gear and skates from one end of the rink to the other. We
had plenty of chances for goals but couldn't find the net. Good news is its a double
elimination tourney. We're off to the losers bracket to fight our way back. Bad news is we
have to play our next game right after this one. Who knew???

- Summary
- The Clown Punchers are the League Champs!!!. We needed a win to clinch and got a great
team effort from everyone. It was a tight game thru the 1st period. We then started to
pull away early in the 3rd period. Scoring for the Punchers were Dave, Tim, Andy, Matt and
Tony. Our final league record was 12 wins and 2 losses.

- Our defense. Toad, Scott, TIm, and Brandon.

- "no wonder my ankle hurts?" from Andy(after the game he realized that he just
skated the whole game with his car keys shoved down his sock).

- Summary
- We stunk the place up. The Clown Punchers looked awful tonight. We couldn't get the puck
in on offense. The defense couldn't stop their attack. Steve (thanks for filling in!) with
a nice slapshot cleared the goose egg off the board for us. Dave got our only other goal.
Both Matt and Tony were missing from the lineup. If the posted stats at Hockeytowne are
correct, we have a one game lead with one game left to play in the session. Our final
opponent and the team we have the 1 game lead over is the Roller Doggs.

- During a line change Tim falling onto the rink and Andy's pathetic attempt to climb over
and falling into the bench area.

- Summary
- Both our offense and defense had a solid 1st period. Matt and Tony were putting on a
passing clinic throughout the period. The 2nd period we got sloppy and lost some of our
momentum. The final period everyone had their in heads in the game and skating hard.

- Summary
- Thrashers were skating with two B players on their roster so they had to forfeit the
game to us. We agreed to play a scrimmage against them. It was a tight game. Score was
tied 2-2 when they scored in the final minute to beat us 3-2.

- At the end of the 1st period we led 4-0. Our defense was doing a great job. Up front
Matt was feeding the puck to Andy who scored 3 goals in the period. We slacked off in the
2nd period and let them back into the game. Early in the 3rd period Tony went to the
penalty box and they scored on the power play to make it a 4-3 game. Matt went into his
goal scoring mode and netted 2 quick goals to seal the Clown Punchers victory

- Summary
- Took a 4-1 lead after the 1st period. This game wasn't as physical as past matchups with
this team. You could still use terms like slashing,tripping and pushing from behind to
describe their style of play. Tony had some nice passes to Andy and Brian on several
goals. We had at least a 2 goal lead throughout the game. Matt was absent from the game.

- Andy with a hat trick and 1 assist.
- Get some sleep award
- Dave.. starting from the 1st period looked like he was skating uphill and into a 70 mph
wind.

- " just give it up" from Tim to Dave after the game. Dave was having trouble
finishing a sentence.

Adult 'B' Team |
- Summary
- Just for variety, we played against a team from the Adult 'B' league. The result of the
game will not count in the standings as every 'C' team is playing a different 'B' team.
This turned out to be a much closer game than they (or we for that matter) expected. The
score was tied at 2, with Dave scoring both of our goals before they took a 4-2 lead. We
scored on a Power Play with 1:30 left in the third period to make it 4-3. They were
getting worried, and called a time-out. They promptly scored again to make it 5-3 and end
our chances of coming back. We had a lot of good scoring oppoortunities in the game, but
just couldn't get enough of them to go in.

- Summary
- We have now defeated everyone in the league. Very close game all the way thru to the
end. Our team would score then the other team would score to tie it up. Late in the 3rd
period Tony sent a pass to Matt who deked the goalie and scored the game winning goal on a
backhanded shot.

- Summary
- The offense got the job done early in this game. We were chasing the puck down and
taking lots of shots. Both teams were scoring on ugly goals. For example Tim shoots and
the goalie can't control it. Puck bouncing in the air and Andy whacks at it. The puck flys
over the goalie's shoulder and into the net. Scoring for the Clown Punchers were Dave,
Tony, Andy and Matt.

- Summary
- We started slow then finished with a fury of goals. Matt and Tony were getting the job
done on offense. There were lots of great individual efforts from our team. The Clown
Punchers defense did a great job (again!)keeping the pressure away from Brandon. It was a
fun game to play and the other team were good sports in their losing effort.

- Summary
- This game was a much cleaner game than our first meeting with this team, although a
couple of their players still need to learn that this is not the NHL. It was a close game
through the first two periods. We scored early for a 1-0 lead, but they quickly scored to
tie it at 1. Brian got the second goal on a great feed from Matt to put us up 2-1.
Finally, in the third period, we broke through with three more goals to get to the final
score. On defense, Dave made a great play to shove the puck under Brandon after it had
gotten behind him.

- Brandon, for again allowing only one goal in the game. This was the third game this
session with one goal or less allowed.

- Summary
- This was a good, clean, hard-fought game. We jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. This lead
did not last long as they came back to tie it up at 2-2. We then traded goals until it was
5-5 in the third period. They got the next goal to make it 5-6, which they held onto
despite our great effort in the final minutes. I look forward to playing this team again,
as it appears to be a good matchup.

- Summary
- This was a close game till the last few minutes. Our teams goal scoring was spread
around. Matt, Andy, Brian and Tim lit the lamp for the Clown Punchers. Matt got to take a
rare penalty shot after one of their players threw his stick to attempt to stop the puck.
Bad news is Matt failed to score on the shot. Good news is we didn't need the goal. Thanks
Matt! The win gives us a 3-0 record.

- Summary
- We won 14-0. That's not a typo. We played the Trashers. These are the guys from Wright
Patt and I recognized a couple of them. They must have been out late drinking the night
before because we stomped them... quite uncharacteristic of the Clown Punchers. By the end
of the first period it was 6-0 in our favor and may have been higher but I was laying on
the bench gasping for air. Dave Reynolds had a stellar game with at least 5 goals. I don't
know where this runaway train came from, but by the end of the third it was 14-0...? Huh?!
The Clown Punchers? Yup... everyone was very good about not being cocky and the Trashers
were very good about not getting frustrated and turning it into another "Tuesday
Night Slug Fest". Brandon reminded us that we had had "our asses handed to us on
more than one occasion." I noticed quite a bit of good passing going on and we seemed
to always have someone in front of the net.

- Summary
- Our offense and defense played some great team hockey. Good passing, lots of shots and
good communication, and a great (lucky?) save by Brandon on a breakaway. Thats the good
news. The bad news is the other team turned this game into a hack-fest. Things got really
ugly in the game and lots of penalties were called (mostly on the other team). The refs
called the game with about 30 seconds left in the 3rd period.

- The whole Clown Punchers roster for keeping a cool head throughout the circus like
atmosphere.
